Another Button

A Bachelor Button to be exact! These were in full bloom earlier this month, they remind me of fireworks.

Up, Up and Away...

The balloon flowers have POPPED! These are one of my favorites.

Button, button, who's got the button?

My first button! Hmmm, you say, first button? This button is from a place called "Button Field" it has a long history and I just learned of it about a month ago. My husband has been helping me find places to take some pictures. Well, he brought me to a cornfield along the river in town, he's always called it "town farm", it's a place where he hunts. So we walk down this dirt road that opens up to a cornfield and as we're walking I see these buttons on the ground, not many, a few here and there, I pick them up and they're glass or porcelain. Then he tells me this is called "Button Field", so now I need to find out the history of this place.

Downy Soft

Wandering on the campus of MHC I took a walk down by the pond, there was plenty to see. Lots of ducks, geese and feathers.

Spotted Pink

The Strawflower is a strange one. Very pretty flower in many different colors, with the petals having the feel of straw. This is one of my Moms favorites.

After The Rain

Took this after a heavy rain, I was glad to see the flowers were still standing.

Storm Watch

~K~ and I went shopping tonight and we decided to bring our cameras with us. I'm glad we did! As we were leaving the store a thunderstorm started brewing. We drove home watching it and trying to get some shots of the lightning. This is my first shot of a streak of lightning!

Went up to the Summit House today, got some nice shots of the flag from the top balcony. On the main floor I got this looking up through the skylight. I didn't realize the frame made a peace sign until I was checking them out at home.
