Fading

The Sweetpea and foliage are fading fast. I have is one cluster of flowers left and lots of seed pods (save those for another post).

It's funny how you don't notice things until you start to really look. I've had this wooden pattern for a few years and I never seen the numbers before!

Star & Stripes

This "star" is the seed pod of the Gas Plant. There was a hole in a hosta leaf so I stuck it in and snapped a picture.

Going to Seed

I love the look of these columbine seed heads. They remind me of jester hats!

This guy creeped me out so bad, but I still had to take his picture.

Aah, back home from hot and humid Tampa. After I unpacked I grabbed the camera and new close-up lens and wandered around the yard trying it out. ( thanks for delivering it K ) 

Color of Fall

My sisters sunflowers are beautiful. The colors on the back of this one reminds me of the fall. As I was taking this shot the humidity and temperature was rising, so I knew were still in the midst of summer

Finally, full bloom! Outside at 7:45am in my PJs (hope the neighbors didn't see me).

I'm hoping to see the Morning Glories open all the way this weekend. I leave for work to early to catch them in their full glory (haha).
Oops, This should be renamed -Almost Done-! Went out the next morning to take some shots of it open and it was shriveled up:( It had bloomed the previous day. Not to worry I got to see some flowers blooming!

Spying

I spied him in the pond at the college.

Sky Lilies

These lilies were so tall I couldn't get the a photo from the top... so the next best thing!

Speedy

The Hummingbird Moth is back! This little sucker sure can move, I was surprised I got a picture this clear of him.

Evenings Lace

Leaving the cornfield there were patches of Queen Anns Lace everywhere. I spotted this tall one and liked how it looked against the dusky sky.

Corn Silk

Wandering thru a cornfield. I like the way the cornsilk is wind blown.

Ice Cream & Sunset

K and I went out last week to Button Field, when we finished shooting there we went to a local ice cream stand. We ate our ice cream them took some more shots. The lights below are from the miniature golf course.

Green

The green of this Ladys Mantel is beautiful. Water beads very nicely on these leaves.
